How to Access Amazon Luna Cloud Gaming Service on Fire TV

Amazon launched its cloud gaming service called Luna to rival platforms like Google Stadia, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Microsoft xCloud. Players who want to sign up initially needed to purchase the Luna Controller to receive an invitation, but Amazon opened the early access to the service for everyone.

Amazon Luna has an exciting game lineup that will keep its users playing for hours. Check out Sonic Mania, Control, GRiD, and Metro Exodus. Subscription each month for Luna is at $5.99. To play the games on the cloud platform, you will need to have an Internet speed of at least 10 Mbps.

Now, Amazon announced that it is giving its Fire TV users access to Luna. If you want to play the games on the big screen using your Fire TV and Fire TV Stick devices, Luna is now available to give you that experience.

Amazon pointed out that several Fire TV devices can access Amazon Luna. Here’s is a list:

  • Fire TV Stick Lite
  • Fire TV Cube
  • Fire TV Stick (2nd & 3rd generation)
  • Fire TV (3rd generation)
  • Toshiba Fire TV Edition
  • Insignia Fire TV Edition

How to Install Amazon Luna and Play Games on Fire TV or Fire Stick Device

Installing Amazon Luna on your Fire TV or Fire Stick device is similar to downloading your regular apps to your device. Follow the methods below.

  • Turn on your Fire TV device.
  • Go to Apps.
  • On the search bar, type Luna. You can also search the apps menu.
  • Click Get.
  • After downloading, click Open.

Amazon also offers a 7-day free trial to its Fire TV users in the Luna channel. To access the Luna channel, go to https://www.amazon.com/Luna/ on your browser. Click the Request early access button to receive an invite.

Note that to play on Amazon Luna on your Fire TV device, you will need to use a controller. You can use compatible third-party controllers or Amazon’s own Luna Controller to play a game.

  • First, you need to connect your controller through a USB cable or Bluetooth.
  • Launch the Luna app and start playing.
