YouTube is making a way for its subscribers to stay put and enjoy their Premium subscription! A new subscription tier will be launched in selected countries and regions to offer YouTube Premium users more value for money without compromising on their experience.
A duo or a shared plan is set at work giving two users the full access to YouTube Premium perks for a price of one. Yes, YouTube’s two-person tier allows two people to enjoy a single subscription without having to pay for 2 individual plans. It is more cost efficient than signing up individually or even subscribing to YouTube’s Family Plan.
The new tier will still offer the same benefits to all its users. You can enjoy ad-free streaming, downloads and offline viewing and background playback. Plus, add in YouTube Music Premium for unlimited music streaming.
However, it seems that Google will initially be launching the new subscription tier only to these countries:
- India
- France
- Taiwan
- Hong Kong
To give you a glimpse of the savings the two-person plan offers, here are the subscription prices in India and France. In India, the individual plan costs Rs149 per month, family plan at Rs 299 while the duo plan is at Rs 219 per month. In France, individual tier is at €12.99 per month, family plan at €23.99 per month while the two-person subscription costs €19.99 per month.
