Troubleshooting Amazon Music App Not Working or Crashing Problems on iPhone or Android
If your Amazon Music app is not working or not playing anything on your Android or iOS smartphone, don’t fret! You can always do something to fix the problem without waiting for Amazon to resolve it. The first thing you need to do is to restart the music streaming app on your device. Exit your Amazon Music app and relaunch it after a few seconds.
If that does not work to fix the issue, try following these other solutions we have listed below.
Restart your Device
It may not be an issue with the Amazon Music app but with your mobile device. A quick reboot can help refresh your connection and processes. Exit all running apps on your device and turn it off. Wait for at least 1 minute before turning it back on. Now, try to relaunch Amazon Music and see if it works.
Clear Amazon Music App Cache
A corrupted cache file may be causing the error on your Amazon Music app. Sometimes, too much cache data can also trigger the crash problem. You may want to clear your app cache.
- Launch the Settings menu of your Android device.
- Go to Apps.
- Look for Amazon Music. If you cannot find it, tap More Apps.
- Select Storage.
- Tap Clear Cache.
- Tap Clear Data.
- For iOS devices, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the app.
Reinstall Amazon Music App
If you already reinstalled your Amazon Music App on your iOS device, Android users can try following it if clearing the cache does not do the work to fix the error. First, uninstall your Amazon Music app. Then, go to the App Store for iOS or the Google Play Store for Android, search, download, and install a fresh version of the Amazon Music app.

Carplay in my vehicle no longer recognizes the amazon music app which just started to continuously crash whenever I enable carplay on my phone. My carplay states “carplay does not recognize Amazon music” which had for the last 10 months on my iphone 12. There is no way to fix this situation as I have tried every trick under the sun and nothing works. My complaints to Amazon has fallen on deaf ears. Really crummy service after being a loyal customer for over 15 years. Thanks Amazon.
I had this problem on my iPad. However, I uninstalled and reinstalled the Amazon Music app, and now the music plays even even the screen is turned off. Thanks!
Uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, and it is still crashing
I cleared the cache & data & it’s working now. Thanks, it was driving me mad.
Cleared cache, uninstalled & reinstalled, rebooted, etc. App still crashes. Disappointed
I’m having the same issue. Using the Firestick to reset everything to Factory Defaults doesn’t make a difference either.
I’m thinking their app is probably corrupted

Amazon music uninstalls everytime I switch my Lenovo M10 Android tablet off. When I switch back on, its gone! Re-installed from Google store several times, but always disappears. Been waiting for Lenovo help team to respond for over a week now. For info, I have Amazon Prime, I have cleared the cache, I have checked for updates, and it works properly on my other devices. PLEASE HELP! Many thanks.
My music app keeps launching stations instead of the song I select. The song isn’t grated out so I don’t know what the issue is. Is anyone else having this issue
tried to install latest version of Amazon music on iMac with Monterey. As soon as the install finished, Amazon Music quit unexpectedly. Tried the usual options, but no go. It simply won’t start. How do I fix this?
