Switching from one device to another is becoming a lifestyle and Google is giving its users another effective way to do so on their devices. The new “Cast to Devices Nearby” or “Tap to Cast” feature enables users to cast the songs they are playing from their Pixel phones to their Pixel tablets and vice versa through Google Cast.

This works with Pixel smartphones equipped with Ultra-Wideband or UWB. You can easily move your music streaming between compatible Pixel mobile devices, specifically Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel Fold, which all have UWB to a docked Pixel tablet. Make sure that you place your Pixel devices near each other.
Google will roll out the feature this year on supported Pixel phones and Pixel tablets. It is available on Spotify and YouTube Music.
In addition to the new cast feature on music streaming, the giant tech company is also adding another screen mirroring or casting feature called Persistent Cast icon. It will display the Cast icon whenever users need it and assist in searching for specific devices.
