Streaming on Amazon Prime Video has become more than just your regular binge-watching avenue. Now, you can shop during advertisements!
Amazon Prime Video introduces interactive ad formats that will integrate shopping into streaming. While viewers watch ads in between shows, they don’t need to go to their phones to check an interesting product. With just a click, Prime Video will direct customers into purchasing the ads right there on their smart TVs.

About 85% of Prime Video customers are signed up on the ad tier, hence the huge opportunity to connect advertisers to Prime Video users. Everything will be easier and seamless with the new ad formats.
Amazon Prime Video New Playback Pause Ads in Shoppable Format
According to Amazon, three formats will be released on their ad-supported subscription on Prime Video. First is the ad carousel, which allows customers to browse several related products during commercials. Users can simply click the ads via their TV remote when wanting to purchase a product. Advertisements will be paused until the transaction is finished.
Another format is the interactive pause ads. Whenever a pause is initiated during playback, an ad will pop up with interactive call-to-actions such as ‘Learn More’ or ‘Add to Cart’ for customers to shop for a product. Lastly, Prime Video releases the brand trivia ads, showing more information about a certain brand. Users can receive claim rewards when buying through the ads.
