Get ready to enjoy a new and more enhanced Plex mobile app on your Android or iOS device! Changes will soon hit your screens and it will redirect your streaming experience to a different height.
The improved navigation bar is one of the huge highlights with a dedicated tab for media libraries. It allows easier access in the app and finding contents. There are tabs for Home, Library, Live TV, On-Demand and Discover. It even enables you to view content watched by your Plex friends.

Plus, loading times are faster and scrolling becomes seamless. It even comes with picture—in-picture support. Plex also offers a sleep timer option and a button for your Watchlist. There are even options for OpenSubtitles subtitle search and shuffling for playlists and TV shows. If you love to check out cast and crew profiles, head over to the details pages with more artwork and great interface.

Part of the changes is to remove other features such as media backup and music playback. Plex is making these options available only on Plexamp and Plex Photos apps. It also eliminates support for external apps.
However, there will be upcoming new features in the future. Plex is working on allowing users to download entire seasons of TV shows, UI improvements and scheduling DVR recordings. There are also improvements in editing Watch History, offline media, casting to more devices and more.
