How Does Movie Rental on YouTube Work

YouTube has a Movies & Shows section, where you can browse thousands of titles for rent, buy, or watch for free. You can select any movie you want and check if it is available for purchase or without paying.

Inside the Movies & Shows section, you will come across two categories, Browse and Purchased. If you want to view movie titles on YouTube, head over to the Browse section. Buying any title will automatically appear under the Purchased tab. You can watch it anytime you want for as many times you like.

When you decide to rent a title, you have up to 30 days to let it stay in your library before you can watch it. If you go beyond 30 days, you will need to rent it again. Once you hit the play button on your rental video, you have 24 or 48 hours to watch the film. Even if you did not finish watching the title, it will revert to repurchase when the time is up.
