There’s a new on how you can tell the world your current taste in music with the recently-launched feature on Instagram. Instagram users can now add a song on their profiles!
The social media platform is taking another step in integrating music into the photo-sharing app. Last 2018, Instagram allowed users to complement their Stories with their favorite tunes. Last year, it also enabled the addition of songs in Notes and posts.
Instagram is supporting its users in bringing in their personalized taste with the new added features. Users can express their inkling for various tunes and even have the opportunity to change these songs depending on their current mood.
How to Add Music to your Instagram Profile
It only takes a few easy steps for you to add your favorite songs to your Instagram profile. Simply tap the profile icon and select Edit Profile. Next, tap Music. Then, tap Pick a song for your profile.
From there, you can choose the music that fits your current liking. If you can’t find the specific song, just use the Search bar on top. Once you are done, tap the check mark and tap it again to add it to your profile.
If you want to change the music, just follow the instructions above and choose a different song.
However, note that the songs do not play automatically when someone visits your profile. They need to tap the play button to listen to the tunes.

As of now, the new feature is only available on Android and iPhone. It is not accessible when you check Instagram on your desktop.
