How to Use New Group Chats and Stickers Feature on TikTok

Wouldn’t it be fun to have all your TikTok friends in one private group chat? Now, it’s possible thanks to the new Group Chats feature by your favorite social media platform.

TikTok recently launched group chats that will enable you to create a group conversation with different people. You can send messages, see other messages, share videos and even send video stickers. Video stickers is another TikTok’s feature that allows users to convert videos to a video sticker.

However, there are some rules you need to consider when using the group chat on TikTok. First, only 16 years old and above can use the group chats. Also, you can only add up to 32 people simultaneously. If you encounter violations, you can report the message or the group conversation. You also have the option to mute or block a participant.

How to Create a Group Chat on TikTok

You have two options when creating a TikTok group chat: via your inbox or from a post. Let’s start with the Inbox. Tap Inbox on your TikTok app. Tap the Chat button. Choose the friends you want to add and tap Start Group Chat.

Now, to start a group chat from a post, look for a video you want to share. Tap the Share button. Choose Create group chat with friends. Select the friends you want to add and tap the Send button.

Want to join an existing group chat? Go to your Inbox. Select an invite and tap Join Group.

Steps to Create a Video Sticker on TikTok

  1. Go to a chat in your TikTok inbox.
  2. Tap the Emoji button and select Sticker Store.
  3. Navigate to Video Stickers or Sticker Sets and select the stickers you want to use.
