How to Clear App Cache Data on Apple TV

Apple TV gives you access to some of the best apps for streaming content online. You can install streaming platforms like Netflix, YouTube TV, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime Video, Twitch, and a whole lot more.

As you run these apps on your Apple TV set-top box, they store cache data to help the system processes become more efficient. The app cache will temporarily save your data and files for future references. That way, when you run the app again, it will load faster.

Over time, the app cache starts to build up as you constantly use the app. When you install available updates to your app, it also fills up the cache storage allocation. While it is normal for the cache to build up, it will also result in several issues.

Too much cache data will take up the storage space that the system uses. In the end, you will not have enough space for more apps and to store system files. Cached items built up will also slow your app processes instead of making them faster. It will also diminish the performance of your streaming apps and your Apple TV device.

What you need to do is clear or delete the cache files to free up some precious storage space.
