How to Move or Continue Playing Music on Another Device using Alexa

Do you have multiple Echo devices at home? It feels good to have reliable help around the house, especially when all you have to do is say the command. Amazon Echo devices can assist you when you want to turn off the lights, play some music, stream your TV shows, and more. With only your voice commands, Alexa can make all these things happen for you.

Now, you can continue playing your songs or podcast episodes on another smart speaker using Amazon Alexa. For instance, if you want to move your playlist on a different Echo device, all you have to do is ask Alexa to do it.

That way, even if you are moving from one place to another inside your home, you can still play your tunes. It is like bringing the music and podcasts with you wherever you go around the house or even on the go. You can even set it up for multiple devices in a multi-room setting.

Let’s say you are inside your bedroom, and you decide to cook dinner. If you want to transfer or continue listening to the radio or your playlist, you can say, “Alexa, move my music to the Kitchen Echo.” It will immediately continue streaming the radio and your songs to your Kitchen Echo speaker device.

Another way is to say, “Alexa, pause the Kitchen Echo.” If you want to resume where you have left off, you can say, “Alexa, resume music here.” Even if you are already inside your car or using your Echo Buds, you can keep playing your tunes from where you left off.

Amazon makes it also possible to continue listening to podcasts and radio stations. Now, you have more options on how you can make everything around you seamless and more convenient.

The new feature is available to Echo speakers, Echo Auto, and Echo Buds. As of now, Amazon is yet to announce when it will expand to third-party Alexa devices.
