How to Switch to Theater Mode while Watching Videos on YouTube
- Launch YouTube on your browser and play a video.
- At the bottom right of your video playback, look for the rectangle icon or the Theater mode button.
- Just click it to switch to Theater mode.
- A shortcut is to simply tap the letter T on your keyboard.
- Tap the letter T key again to switch it back to default view.
Is it Possible to Change and Set YouTube to Always Open in Theater Mode by Default
Don’t like switching to Theater mode always? You can set it as the default view. However, you will need to install the Theater Mode for YouTube extension on your browser. Fortunately, you can find it in Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Opera web browsers. Just install the extension and it will set to Theater mode as default.
