Want to get more out of your Discovery Plus subscription? Now, you can enjoy additional content with the new dedicated CNN Originals hub on Discovery+. It features over 800 episodes that you can find from three brands of the network such as CNN Films, CNN Original Series, and HLN Original Series.
CNN released its streaming service called CNN+ last March 29. However, only fewer than 10,000 people used the streaming service after its first two weeks. CNN+ continues to struggle in attracting viewers hence Warner Bros Discovery and CNN decided to end the operation after one month of its launch.
According to the veteran cable TV network company, subscribers will receive a prorated refund of their membership. CNN+ subscription is $5.99 per month.
Subscribers of CNN+ who want to continue streaming and binge-watching their favorite TV show episodes and programming can do so via the CNN Originals hub on Discovery+. Earlier this month, the streaming service integrated the CNN Originals catalogue to provide selected premium content from the defunct CNN Plus service. The dedicated content hub will have several titles from the CNN Original Series as its initial offering. There will be more content later from other CNN brands.
How to Get & Stream Series Titles from the Defunct CNN+ using CNN Originals Hub on Discovery Plus
You can access the CNN Originals hub and watch original and live TV shows on your Discovery+ mobile or smart TV app or through the Discovery Plus website. The Discovery Plus streaming hub is available on iOS devices, Android devices, Amazon Fire TV or Firestick, Roku, and select smart TVs.Â
- First, launch the app store section of your device.
- Look for Discovery+.
- Download and install the streaming app.
- Now, launch the Discovery Plus app on your smart TV or mobile device.
- Sign up for a new account or sign in to your existing account.
- After signing up or logging in successfully, go to the home screen.
- Look for CNN Originals at the top of the screen. You can also click Browse.
- Select CNN Originals.
- Start streaming your favorite episodes.

Discovery Plus offers a 7-day free trial to new users. Subscription is $4.99 monthly for the ad-based version and $6.99 per month for the ad-free version. Students can also avail of a discounted membership for $2.99 per month if they enroll at an accredited institution.
