So, what do Amazon Music call this new AI feature? Named Maestro, this tool is Amazon Music’s way of getting on the bandwagon of AI playlists after Spotify released its own.

You can create any kind of playlist you want, not to mention those you may not expect to think about, or even out-of-this-world combo. Just play around with different prompts, activities, emojis, and sounds.

However, Amazon notes that since this is something new to everyone, and in its beta phase, Maestro may not get it right the first time you use it.

  • If you are eligible to use the function, you need to update your Amazon Music app to the latest version first.
  • Then, create a new playlist using the ‘+’ sign.
  • Think of a prompt idea for your new playlist. You can make it up using various emotions, emojis and sounds. If you can’t squeeze an idea out of your mind, try using the suggested prompts.
  • Now, you can type or talk to Maestro about your new playlist idea. You can also tap the “Let’s go” button.

Takeaway

As of now, only a few users in the United States can enjoy Maestro as the beta version is still rolling out. The good news is the functionality is available to all tiers of Amazon Music subscription plans on Android and iOS. So even if you simply use the free version, you can still enjoy Maestro. The only difference is the 30-second preview of your playlist before you save it.
