Stop Seeing Reel Videos, Block Certain Reels on Facebook

Watching reel videos on Facebook have become a pastime for a lot of people. With only a maximum of 90 seconds per reels, there are hundreds of various contents you can watch in just one sitting.

However, there are still many people who do not love the idea of watching varied content in short videos. In fact, not a lot of people appreciate seeing unrelated content or topics they are not interested in. So, how do you stop seeing these reel videos?

Steps in Hiding Reel Videos from your Facebook Account

A good way to stop Facebook from showing reel videos on your account is to hide these content. All you need to do is go to the Reel section of your Facebook account and tap the three-dotted icon at the corner. Tap Hide to stop reels from appearing again in the future.

Another way is to navigate to Settings & Privacy of your Facebook account. Head over to Settings and go to News Feed Preferences. Now, look for Reels and choose to hide it.

How to Unfollow or Block Certain Reels or People on Facebook

If there are only a few selected reels that you do not want to see or people making the reels that you want to unfollow, the steps are simple too. Look for the reels that you want to remove and tap the three-dotted icon next to it. Choose to Hide the reel.

To unfollow or block a person, go to the profile of that person and tap the three-dotted icon. Now, select Block or Block user.

Now if you prefer for reels to not automatically play when you scroll through them, you can easily stop the autoplay settings. However, the reels will continue to appear on your account.

If you are looking to simply stop the autoplay on reels, go to the Settings & Privacy section of your account. Head over to Settings and navigate to Media. Look for Auto-Play Videos and turn it off.

Take control of how you want your Facebook to appear and manage reel videos based on your personal preferences.
