Gamers and owners of the new PlayStation 5 (PS5) gaming console from Sony can now access and install the YouTube TV app on their devices. It is joining the PS4, and PS4 Pro consoles to stream live TV content from YouTube.
Sony’s next-generation console has been launched for months now, but it is only today that the platform got its support from YouTube TV. In comparison, Xbox Series X/S consoles have been supported and available when the Microsoft consoles were first introduced.
Other compatible YouTube TV streaming devices include Android TV, smart TVs from Samsung, LG, HiSense, Sharp, Vizio, and Sony as well as streaming media players such as Chromecast with Google TV, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV. Roku was previously supported but due to raucous created by the disagreement between Google and Roku, the platform has been removed recently.
