Owners of the latest console from Sony can now watch HBO Max shows with the launch of a dedicated app for PlayStation 5. On top of the games that you play on PS5, you can also binge-watch movies and TV shows using your console.
Before the addition of HBO Max, other streaming service platforms are already available in PlayStation 5 when it launched. Some of the available apps include Netflix, Apple TV, Disney Plus, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Peacock, Funimation, Spotify, Twitch, and YouTube. PS4 users have access to HBO Max for some time now. Xbox Series X and S users, on the other hand, have been enjoying the streaming service since the next-gen consoles from Microsoft were launched.
HBO Max offers a wide variety of content that will surely pique the interest of avid gamers. Movies and TV shows from Warner Brothers are some of the things to look forward to in the coming months. Warner Bros announced earlier that its entire fleet of movies coming in 2021 will be streamed on HBO Max the same day it hits the theaters.
Aside from HBO Max, Sony is also adding the CBS News app to PS5’s growing repertoire of streaming apps.
How to Download HBO Max and CBS News App on PS5
To download the HBO Max and CBS News app on your PlayStation 5 console, follow these steps:
- On your PS5’s home screen, go to the Media tab by tapping the R1 button on your controller.
- Scroll down until you see the All Apps section.
- Click on HBO Max or CBS News app to download it to your console.
- Open the newly installed app and log in to your account to begin streaming content.
