CBS All Access users have been waiting for it a long time. And finally, soon, it is coming to their smart TVs and streaming devices. ViacomCBS will be launching Paramount Plus as an upgraded streaming service that will take head on with Netflix, Disney Plus, HBO Max, Peacock and Discovery Plus, not just in the US but also in other territories.
Paramount Plus will be replacing CBS All Access. ViacomCBS wants to enhance its streaming service to compete with other top platforms in the market, and the name CBS All Access does not sound compelling. Paramount Plus will have a larger library of shows and movies for all its users.
Paramount Plus is both a new video streaming service made for a global audience and a rebranding of the existing CBS All Access service. First, let us know the price, launch date, shows & movies, and how you can get a subscription account on Paramount Plus.
How Much Will Paramount Plus Cost?
Before CBS All Access announced the price, many users speculated that Paramount Plus is going to be more expensive. However, that is not the case. CBS All Access starts at $5.99 per month, and Paramount Plus will have the basic plan for $4.99 per month. It will include ads, original shows, and selected content. If you want to add news, live sports, and TV shows, you will need to pay $9.99 per month.
Paramount Plus Launch Date
ViacomCBS will be launching Paramount Plus on March 4, 2021. It will be available in the US and some parts of Latin America. Canada will see the rebranding, but the expanded content will be available later in the year.
By March 25, Nordic countries will be able to access Paramount Plus. In mid-2021, it will open to Australia.
