According to Google, the Apple TV app is available for download and installation on all modern Android TV devices including smart TVs, streaming media player, and TV sticks. That means your Android TV must be running the 8.0 Oreo OS version and higher. You can now start streaming Apple TV+ content on devices such as Nvidia Shield TV, Chromecast with Google TV, Sony Bravia, Xiaomi, Hisense, TCL, and more.

Unfortunately, Google restricts the download of the Apple TV app on operator-tier devices. Operator-tier devices allow operators to customize the TV platform based on their needs and preferences. They can change the look of the TV interface and customize the overall user experience. While Android TV is not the same as Android, where operators can customize it, the operator-tier certification for selected operators allows them to do so.
